Submitting a candidature constitutes an expression of interest and does not confer a right to participate. The number of sessions and places is limited: for each session Folia selects participants – by direct invitation and/or drawing on the candidatures received – according to the principles of thematic relevance, independence, balance across categories and rotation over time. Not being selected for a given session does not preclude consideration for later ones: candidatures are retained and reviewed at each convening. Participants selected for each session are contacted directly by Folia. Transparency is ensured through publication of the list of participating organisations and the relevant Stakeholder Session Report.
